Just describing the PIE Network itself gets hairy: A passionate bipartisan think tank working on education reform and advocacy.
Our job: take these brilliant, beautiful brains—we’re talking Rhodes Scholars, here—and help them translate education policy and legislation benefits to parents, kids, and teachers in relevant and compelling ways.
We ran messaging workshops with reformers from around the country to start the process. Imagine reducing two-page policy explanations to eight-word billboard slogans. Together, we brainstormed new motivations, messages, and channels. We followed that with field research—talking to teachers and parents in both low- and high-resourced schools
It resulted in a lot of teachable moments, and a sharper set of communication skills.
